Thornbury Skatepark CIC - Tender Opportunity

Thornbury Skatepark CIC is seeking expressions of interest from experienced skatepark designers and contractors for the redevelopment of the existing Thornbury skatepark into a modern, inclusive, and progressive wheeled sports facility.

The project aims to create a high-quality space for skateboarders, BMX riders, scooter users, and the wider community, catering to all ages and abilities. Thornbury Town Council has already committed £120,000 towards the scheme, with an overall fundraising target of £300,000.

The tender documentation includes full details relating to:

  • Project background and vision
  • Site information and constraints
  • Scope of appointment
  • Budget expectations
  • Procurement process and evaluation criteria
  • Tender questionnaire and submission requirements
  • Proposed programme and timelines

Key dates:

  • Notification of intention to bid: 31 May 2026
  • Deadline for clarification questions: 7 June 2026
  • Tender submission deadline: 21 June 2026

We are seeking to appoint a contractor with a collaborative approach, demonstrable experience delivering community-led skatepark projects, and a proven track record in the design and construction of high-quality concrete facilities from concept through to completion.

Contractors interested in discussing the project further, arranging a site visit, or submitting initial queries are encouraged to get in touch.

We look forward to receiving submissions for what promises to be an exciting new facility for Thornbury and the surrounding community.
