Give Four Hours to Help Thornbury Remember!

Volunteers needed for Thornbury’s Remembrance Parade on Sunday 8 November 2026.

Thornbury Town Council is looking for 8–10 volunteers to help marshal this year’s Remembrance Parade. Could you spare four hours to support this important community occasion?

The parade will take place between Thornbury Town Hall and St Mary’s Church, and volunteer marshals will play an important role in helping the event run smoothly and safely.

Some marshals will be stationed at points along the parade route, while others will walk alongside the parade. Marshals will act as the eyes and ears of the event, reporting any incidents to the event organiser.

No previous experience is needed!

Volunteers will need to be available from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday 8 November and must complete a one-hour online counter-terrorism training session before the event. The training can be completed at a time that suits you.

How to volunteer

If you can spare four hours to help, we’d love to hear from you.
