Players at Thornbury Netball Club have received a £750 grant from Thornbury Town Council.
The funding enabled the club to purchase waterproof jackets for its squad, benefiting 23 members, including their coach.
The jackets have already made a noticeable difference. A spokesperson for the club said: “All feedback of the coats has been extremely positive, they are worn to and from all outdoor matches, and outdoor training (if applicable). Members have stated that they provide a sense of comradery amongst the team and unity, as well as keeping us dry and warm outside!”
The grant forms part of the Town Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organisations and ensuring community funding delivers clear, measurable benefits.
