South Gloucestershire Council has announced a temporary road closure to allow Active Travel improvement works to be carried out safely.
When?
- From 2 November 2026
- Works are expected to take place between 8:00pm and 6:00am
- The closure will only be in place when required for the works and when traffic signs are displayed.
Who is affected? The road will be closed to:
- Motor vehicles
- Cyclists
- Horse riders
Why is the road being closed? The closure is necessary to ensure public safety while Active Travel works are carried out on or near the highway.
Diversion Route A signed diversion will be in place via:
- B4061
- Grovesend Road
- Gillingstool
- Grovesend Road
- Streamleaze (unaffected section)
Please allow extra time for your journey while these works are underway.
