Thornbury Town Councillors Maggie Tyrell and Fiona Deas recently visited Streamleaze Park to see the new play equipment installed as part of a major refurbishment of the popular play area.
Around two thirds of the existing equipment has been replaced, giving the play area a fresh new look and offering local children even more opportunities to play, explore and have fun.
The improvements follow a public consultation with residents, who were also invited to vote on options for some of the new equipment, helping to shape the refreshed play area.
The refurbishment represents an investment in Thornbury’s play facilities, ensuring that Streamleaze Park continues to provide a welcoming and enjoyable space for children and families to spend time together.
Thornbury Town Council hopes families will enjoy the new equipment and make the most of the improved play area for many years to come.
