Love Your Park @ Mundy Playing Fields

This summer, why not join us and show some love for the Mundy Playing Fields?

On Thursday 30 July, as part of the Keep Britain Tidy 'Love Parks' week, Thornbury Town Council and Thornbury in Bloom will be in the park between 9am and midday with lots of activities that the whole family can get excited about.

Between 9am and 11am, we will be joined by Charlie from the BS3 Moth Club who will (weather permitting) share some of the moths that have gathered overnight. These remarkable creatures are often nocturnal and are only glanced as they fly past in the dark. This is a rare chance to see them up close and appreciate their amazing variety and beauty. Please note, if there is rain the previous night or on the day, we will not be able to run this element of the event.

There will also be a range of children’s moth-themed crafts, litter picking and a nature-themed scavenger hunt.

All activities are free of charge and you are welcome to drop in anytime between 9 and 12.
