Nominations Open for the Mayor's Awards 2027
Thornbury Town Council is delighted to announce that nominations for the Mayor's Awards 2027 are now open.
The Mayor's Awards recognise and celebrate the individuals, groups, organisations and businesses that make an outstanding contribution to life in Thornbury. The theme for the 2027 awards is Environmental Action, Nature and Sustainability.
Residents have until 21 September 2026 to submit nominations for those who have made a significant contribution to protecting and enhancing the local environment, supporting wildlife and biodiversity, promoting sustainability, or encouraging environmental awareness within the community.
This year's award categories are:
- Community Environmental Champion/Heroes Award
- Green Spaces and Community Gardening Award
- Environmental Education and Awareness Award
- Wildlife Support and Habitat Creation Award
- Sustainable Business Leadership Award
