About Danny
Danny is married and father of 2. He grew up in Royston, Hertfordshire, with some years overseas. He did A-Levels at the John Henry Newman School in Stevenage and studied engineering at university. He worked for Arup upon graduation in their energy group, moving into renewable energy in 2002 when joining RES (Renewable Energy Systems). Onshore wind flowed into sustainable buildings and into offshore wind over a happy 13 years. At the time of moving to Thornbury, Danny became Managing Director of a small consultancy in Bristol, and is now Director of Sustainability at Wood Thilsted Partners Limited, also in Bristol. He has recently completed a postgraduate certificate in Sustainable Business, and is working hard to determine how to make offshore wind ‘nature positive’. He likes to run, cycle, garden, promote and contribute to the Just Transition.
