Welcome to Thornbury Town Council

Thornbury Town Council works on behalf of the local community to support, represent, and promote the interests of our town and its residents. Made up of 16 elected councillors who serve for four-year terms, the council works collectively to make decisions that shape the future of our community.

We look after a wide range of local services, facilities, and initiatives — from maintaining public spaces and supporting community events, to representing residents’ views in discussions with other authorities.

Our Chairman, who also serves as Mayor, represents the council at civic occasions and local events, helping to strengthen links across the community.

We are here to listen, respond, and work in partnership with residents, community groups, and businesses to ensure our town remains a great place to live, work, and visit.

Krunch Skate Park Consultation

Krunch are asking residents feedback: Thornbury Skate Park Redevelopment – Community Survey

Krunch say: We’re working with Thornbury Town Council on an exciting redevelopment of Thornbury Skate Park.

As part of this process, we are seeking input from the wider community to help shape the future of this important local space.

Whether you are a skater, a parent, a resident or simply someone who values community facilities in Thornbury, we invite you to share your views.

Thank you to everyone who has completed the survey. If you haven't done it yet, please do take a few minutes to complete our short survey:

https://app.upshot.org.uk/survey/a6d4fa41/10278/275c2af0/

Separate responses are welcome from skaters, parents and other interested individuals.

Your feedback will help inform the design and support funding applications for the project.

Feed the Birds Christmas Tree

We are getting the festive season underway here at Thornbury Town Council with our 'Feed the Birds' Christmas tree! Our tree has been decorated with fully biodegradable decorations, many of which are tasty for birds to eat! From our popcorn and cranberry garlands to our holly berry decorations, our tree has lots of crafty ideas you might want to try, as well as information about how you might support wild birds in your garden or green space this winter. Come along to see our tree and you can pick up a free starter packet of wild bird seed, a wooden Christmas tree ornament, or some festive stickers!
